George Mason University’s longest running tradition graced the parking lot outside Eagle Bank Arena Friday. Students braved the rain to pick up the annual Mason Day swag – T-shirts, tote bags, glow sticks, etc. – and crowded the two stages for student performances, including several Plazapalooza regulars, and touring bands.

Plenty of diversions surrounded the stage from carnival rides to the classic lemonade stand, to corn doggos
If the spinning rides makes you too nauseaous you can always admire the shimmer they leave on the rain-slick asphalt
And when you run out of fuel you can pick up what the English call candy floss
Student performances had their own stage left of the main one. Bands, singer-songwriters, and dancers took to the stage to open for the touring band headliners
